He added that for the first time, a literature festival was included in the fair's activities.
Experts in literature and art from around the country are anticipated to assemble in Mandi for the Mandi Literature Festival (2024), which will take place on March 6 and 7.
Devgan stated that the district government was actively preparing for the fair.
"This two-day event will be conducted in the auditorium at Sardar Patel University. The festival will begin on March 6 at 10:30 a.m. It will feature emerging writers, painters, and poets, as well as literary and artistic luminaries. Literature and art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to meet their favourite littérateurs, who will participate in stimulating discussions," he added.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rohit Rathour met with Mandi's prominent writers and artists yesterday to plan the Mandi Literature Festival (2024).
He stated that the event dedicated to literature and culture would combine entertainment, inspiration, and education.
Famous artists would lead workshops on creative writing and photography, he continued, urging everyone to work together to ensure the festival's success.
"In the two-day literature festival, well-known writers and art connoisseurs of Himachal, especially from Mandi, will participate in discussion sessions with eminent litterateurs of the country," he went on to say.
Senior writers Ganga Ram Raji, Birbal Sharma, Murari Sharma, Krishan Chander Mahadevia, Roop Upadhyay, Prakash Chand, Roopeshwari, Rakesh Kapoor, Jagdish Kapoor, Nirmala Chandel, Satyender Pal, Vidya, Asha Thakur, Usha Sharma, and Daksha Sharma were among those present at the gathering.
The meeting also included District Panchayat Officer Anchit Dogra, District Public Relations Officer Sachin Sangar, and District Language Officer Promila Guleria.
